Acer has just provided an entry-level gaming machine around 50,000 budget in India. It's not a decent machine-like dedicated gaming laptop, but it does get the gaming job done.

So, this Nitro has a Ryzen 5 CPU and NVIDIA GPU. But, I found a little less bright display with a poor color gamut screen. However, the keyboard has tactile keys, and the touchpad is recognized as a precision unit by Windows.

Asus has provided some unique features on this laptop. It is to note that it has no dedicated graphics card. So, buy only if you have no plan to perform graphics-intensive tasks.

On this laptop, Asus has put a good camera. It does support Windows hello. Furthermore, this machine has also a fingerprint reader. But, I believe that it would be better if Asus has provided the thunderbolt-3 port instead.

Dell laptops with graphics cards usually come in the range of 70,000, 80,000, or more.

This machine isn't capable to perform graphics-intensive tasks like gaming, video editing, running of emulators, and many more.

But, to power up your work speed, Dell has provided a 256GB of SSD storage. In the 50,000 budget, you won't get a machine with a thunderbolt port, not even a Type-C port. But, on the other side, Dell has put a pretty tactile keyboard and smooth touchpad. Despite the plastic build, this laptop feels overall sturdy enough.

An entry-level machine from Lenovo for office uses. Don't do gaming on it. In my tests, I have found that due to no dedicated GPU, it wasn't possible to perform video editing even.

The battery life is also much disappointing. It's just a 35Wh battery.

In heavy use like aggressive web browsing, programming, it hasn't lasted for even 2 hours. So, overall, this laptop is falling on the poor side compared to other laptops shown in this article.

FAQs

1. How I have tested the battery life?

I have tested the battery life by watching YouTube videos at 50% of screen brightness, keyboard lighting off, and background apps disabled.

2. How I have tested the display?

For screen color gamut, I have used the Spyder 5 PRO.

For screen flex, I have intentionally moved the screen by fingers.

For brightness, I have tested the Nits.

3. How I tested the Storage speed?

Using CrystalDiskMark tool, I have tested the speed of SSD and Hard disk. In addition to that, For SSD only storage, the data collected from partitioned storage.

4. How I have checked the thermal management?

To check the thermal management, I have tested the fans, heat pipes shared between CPU and GPU, Air intake vents, Thermal throttling in CPU and GPU, and temperature of the keyboard.

For thermal throttling, I have performed stress tests for non-gaming machine and both stress and gaming tests for gaming machine like Acer Nitro 5. In non-gaming machine, due to quite low gaming performance, it is void to perform the gaming tests.

For keyboard temperature, I have used the temperature gun.

5. How I have measured the speakers' quality?

The speakers are tested by listening the YouTube video, measuring the sound level using DigiTech's sound level meter, and LatencyMon test.
